The route taken (Saver Day Pass for today too):
Eich – Lucerne – Vitznau – Mt Rigi – Weggis – Lucerne – Engelberg – Mt Titlis – Lucerne – Eich
Rain was in the forecast today too, but with no choice, we started our journey towards Mt Rigi. We took our customary bus from Eich to Sempach and then Southwards to Lucerne. It had started drizzling by then but we braved it all and moved towards the Boat Pick Up Point – and as it has been, first we went out of the Lucerne train station, went across the bridge in the rain, and then found out that we had to go to the other side, back across the bridge to catch the ferry to Vitznau.

Took the boat/steamer from Lucerne to Vitznau. Enjoyed the wonderful view from the boat, had some nice coffee and snacks, and the clicked a few Titanic moments. From there we boarded the cogwheel train to Mt Rigi. Our luck with the weather ran out and it was sleet and rain that greeted us atop Mt Rigi instead of the spectacular views the photos depict. However, the journey by the train on an almost 70% steep incline was a once in a lifetime experience!

Came down by the cable car to Weggis, caught the boat back to Lucerne. Took a train to Engelberg to try out luck at Mt Titlis. Reached Engelberg via scenic views of the Alps and though it was raining we went to the cable car station where we realised our Savers Day pass did not include this trip. Since the weather was all packed up, we followed economic logic and decided not to buy the expensive tickets up to Mt Titlis where we knew no views were waiting—-so we let go.

Started our journey back and reached Eich Dorf. Mohit, Naiyya and Praveen headed up from our Airbnb to the church on the hill top and rest of us just lazed around, and started the preparation for drinks and dinner.

It was party time at Eich – had our drinks and dinner and as usual – crashed out!
