Had a more relaxed start than normal….checked out by 10:00 AM….reached the Zurich HB to deposit our bags in the lockers.
Then we strolled on foot…..checked out two flea markets….first one was disappointing. Second one was a garage sale like setup with some vintage stuff on sale ….picked up some antique bone china plates and strolled back to the station to board our train to Salzburg.
Good lunch on board.
Crossed Liechenstein, so added it to our list of countries visited!!
Comfortable journey, the scenic beauty quotient remained high and we reached Salzburg.
From 1st May 2025 the province of Salzburg has declared free public transport for all the visitors staying overnight. So it was a simple two bus journey to our small comfy hotel on the outskirts of the city. Seems a popular one with lots of tourist groups here.
Rushed out for dinner options, a couple had already closed. Last stop we entered Huy Cook and Eat just across the street with trepidation that it may not be suitable too and we will have to make do with bread and cheese spread. The buffet was lavish and my vegetarian option was delicious too. Good end to the day!
