Early start to the day! We headed to the bus stop for our bus to Bratislava and we decided to go by the local train. The FlixBus was scheduled to depart at 09:50 AM. Today the guys decided to wear a matching T-Shirt, that they got while playing a golf tournament in Delhi.
The stations we crossed enroute … Simmering and Gasometer were apt for the Simmering anxiety and the stress levels reaching high ….as we took the train in the wrong direction then right direction and reached the Bus Station on time to find that the bus was a little late!
A comfy 1 hr journey and we were at Bratislava.
A quaint city with a small city centre….walkable.
But we took the Tschu Tschu train…..for a ride around town. Got off at the castle for a look around and the views of the city.
The castle and view from the top was nice. We all did some goofing around … and collected some souvenirs.
Back to the city centre.
Strolled around to look at the beautiful and unique Blue Church.
Then off to the Michael Gate, the only gate left intact.
Cumil the sewer man, schone naci ….and more fun sculptures added here and there to liven up the streets post-communalism.
Souvenir shopping and then we had some delicious Slovakian dishes at the Koliba Kamzik.
Took the 5:20 bus back to Vienna……for a change with legs a little less tired than normal!
