Much needed relaxed start to the day, after yesterday’s tiring outing.
Reached the Salzburg city centre around 11:00 AM….strolled around …took pictures. And then it started to rain….though a drizzle, it was uncomfortable still.

Ulhas tried some close-up shots with his brand new Samsung Mobile – photos comes out quite all right!
The rain picked up pace, so we decided to just board a bus and go where it went. Went till the last station, reboarded it and got back to the Mirabelle Palace area just in time to join our Guruwalk with Zoe.
A sweet lady who was very passionate about her city…..she took us through the Mirabelle Palace, the dwarf garden, the fountain, the Old Town with the different old buildings include the birthplace of Mozart.
She showed us the interesting ways the shops were indicated, the best ice cream shop, the oldest bakery near the water chakki, the Mozart University and the way to go up the hill with the castle.

As soon as the tour ended, it started raining again and we were off on some random bus to its last stop, which was a very scenic lakeside locality.

Whiled away some time and then decided to head back to our hotel and eat Thai at the next-door restaurant, but it was closed!! (Monday).
So, we had dinner at the Asia Kitchen next door and despite our misgivings about the sea foody smells as you entered, the food was good!

Back to the hotel, packed up for the next day’s travel to Vienna and called it a day. Somehow we skipped the Sound of Music tour – maybe next time!
